For Spring break I went back to Maryland to visit old friends and old haunts. I also went to some new places, including the E Street Cinema in D.C.. E Street is sort of an indie or cult classic theater which I am loving. My friend and I went to see "What we do in the Shadows" which I would describe as a vampire mock-umentary.
Here is IMDb's description: "Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are vampires who are finding that modern life has them struggling with the mundane - like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts."
I was immediately pulled in by their personalities and their shenanigans. I loved the "worms" part. The whole movie plays like some reality show on MTV.
Over all this is a comedy and it really was hilarious; everyone in the theater laughed, multiple times.
"Yeah some of our clothes are from victims. You might bite someone and then, you think, 'Oooh, those are some nice pants'".I would say "What we do in the Shadows" is now firmly in my top 5 movies list and I can't wait to see it again.
